Terms and Conditions

These terms govern the use of the l2utopia.com website, the Utopia game server and the related services (together, the “Service”), run by L2Utopia (“we”). By using the Service you accept them; if you do not, do not use it.

1. Who we are

Utopia is an independent, unofficial project. Lineage II is a registered trademark of NCSOFT Corporation: we have no affiliation with NCSOFT or its partners, and the Service is not endorsed by them.

2. The Service

The Service is provided as is, with no guarantee that it is always available or free of errors. There may be maintenance, updates and downtime. Player progress is not wiped; after a technical failure or an abuse, a limited rollback to an earlier point may be needed.

3. Accounts

To create an account you must be at least 18 years old. You are responsible for everything done with your account and for keeping your password secret. We may refuse or close an account that breaks these terms or the Server Rules.

4. In-game items and currency

Adena, items, characters and all other game content remain ours: you receive a personal, limited and revocable licence to use them. They have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for money and cannot be sold or traded outside the game.

5. Donations

Donations are voluntary and cover the costs of the server. Any in-game reward is a thank-you, not the purchase of goods. The conditions are in the Refund Policy.

6. Code of conduct

The Server Rules are part of these terms. Anyone who breaks them may be penalised as described there.

7. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the Server Rules, with no right to a refund. Should the project close, we will announce it on the Discord as far in advance as we can.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for the loss of data or game content, for interruptions of the Service or for indirect damage arising from its use. Liability that the law does not allow to be excluded is not affected.

9. Website content

The texts, graphics and code of the website are ours, except for third-party trademarks and content, which belong to their owners.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version; by continuing to use the Service after a change you accept the new version.
